David sitting at the piano

Hi, I’m David Brodrick!

My interest in piano tuning began in 2014 when I started tuning my own pianos. I subsequently trained with Mr. Jack Mills, RPT, and Mr. Al Ammon.  I then began tuning and servicing pianos for my piano students, as well as for the communities in Spicewood, Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Lakeway, and Bee Cave areas.

I  am a member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG), and tune regularly at MusicMasters Piano Showroom in Austin, TX where I work directly with Mr. Brian Henselman, RPT. I have tuned pianos for several local churches including First Baptist Church Marble Falls, The Church at Horseshoe Bay, First United Methodist Church Marble Falls, The Bible Church of the Lakes, and First Baptist Church in Kingsland

I began playing piano at age 4.  I studied Suzuki Piano at the Suzuki Institute of Dallas with Mr. Da Chen from Beijing, China.  In 2005 I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance, having studied with Dr. Alfred Mouledous.

I have been teaching piano since 2001.  In 2009, I taught piano in Germany for a year.  Since 2010, I have been self-employed, full-time in the Austin area.

I have experience playing piano at churches, weddings, restaurants, and hotels.  In 2007 and in 2011 I was the in-house pianist for Glacier National Park at the Many Glacier Hotel.  I played piano for Tree of Life Church in Pflugerville, Texas on a volunteer basis for 5 years.  From 2014 to 2015, I was the music teacher/pianist for the International House of Children Montessori School in Austin, Texas.  From 2017 to 2019 I was the pianist for Hillcrest Baptist Church working with the choir and orchestra.  I currently play piano for the Church at Horseshoe Bay.

I live in Spicewood with my wife Sarah, and our five children.
